Crane Fitter Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Crane Fitter to join our team at Gray's depot. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Mechanical Fitting, Crane operation, and Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular services, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the fleet of cranes, including mobile, tower, and crawler cranes.
  2. Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures on the fleet of cranes.
  3. Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
  4. Work alongside the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.
  5. Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are adhered to.
  6. Take part in continuous training and development to keep up with industry standards and technological advancements.
  7. Occasional need to travel to site in the event of a breakdown.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant/Heavy Vehicles Maintenance or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience as a Crane Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or a similar role.
  3. Previous knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  4. A valid UK driving licence.
  5. CPCS Card Holder or equivalent would be desirable.
  6. Welding and fabrication skills desirably.
Remuneration:

£18.00+ an hour depending on experience.

40 Hour working week (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30).

Overtime available.

31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
