AWS Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Adroit People Ltd., driving requirements for digital technologies with a strong focus on AWS and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Elicit and Analyze Requirements:
  • Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders, including users, subject matter experts, and management.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Create user stories, use cases, and other artifacts to define functional and non-functional requirements.
Process Mapping:
  • Develop and maintain process diagrams and workflows to document current and future state processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Solution Design:
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and align with AWS best practices.
  • Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Agile Delivery:
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and Agile delivery practices.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders to manage expectations and address concerns.
Requirements
  1. Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the UK public sector.
  2. In-depth knowledge of digital technologies and their application in public sector environments.
  3. Expertise in AWS cloud services and their use in delivering digital solutions.
  4. Proven experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Bonus Requirements:
  1. Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
  2. Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
  3. Experience with project management methodologies.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £26,251.85-£52,080.05 per year

Experience:

  • AWS: 8 years (preferred)
  • Business analysis: 10 years (preferred)
