Deputy Sister - SDEC/AAU:

We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team as a Deputy Sister. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the unit's leadership, ensuring effective delivery of care, and overseeing clinical practice within the unit.

Salary: £43,041 - £51,144 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sister/Charge Nurse in the management of the unit, ensuring effective delivery of care.
  • Oversee clinical practice within the unit, supporting nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, including nurses and healthcare assistants, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and support the training of new staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified registered nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Significant experience in acute care settings.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
