We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team in Plymouth on a 12-month contract basis.

About the Position

This position involves drafting technical design documentation, overseeing the generation of 3D models and 2D CAD drawings, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for determining durations for design tasks to support the principal engineer and project manager in planning activities.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Draft technical design documentation, including concept, detail design, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Oversee the generation of 3D models and 2D CAD drawings, including mechanical components with electrical harnesses.
  • Maintain accurate records and document/drawing revision control.
  • Support the principal engineer and project manager in planning activities by determining durations for design tasks.
  • A minimum of demonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, including mechanical handling, mechanical or electrical systems/services.
  • Experience of mechanical design is essential, including new or modification to structures and systems.
  • The ability to follow a nuclear safety led engineering process and maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar software to oversee and support production of models and drawings of mechanical components with electrical harnesses.
  • Demonstrable communication skills and the ability to host and participate in design meetings across Microsoft Teams.
