Overview
Fawkes and Reece is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting water infrastructure project in London. As a key member of our civil engineering and infrastructure specialist, you will work with industry experts known for their expertise across water, transport, energy, and the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely cost estimates and financial reporting throughout project phases.
- Manage contract administration, including subcontractor agreements, variations, and payments.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure budget alignment and cost efficiency.
- Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize project spending.
- Monitor and update cost reports, maintaining detailed records of project costs and expenditures.
- Engage with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and rates.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor in water infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.
- An understanding of water industry construction methods and materials is advantageous.
- A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
