Job Title: Educational BSL/English Interpreter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BSL/English interpreter to join our team at Walsall College. As an Educational BSL/English Interpreter, you will play a vital role in providing support for staff and students in a professional educational setting.

About the Role

You will work with a diverse range of students with varying communication needs on the BSL continuum, interpreting for courses from Entry Level to Higher Education Level across a wide range of subjects. Additionally, you will interpret for D/deaf staff in staff meetings and during events such as Out of College Activities, Award Ceremonies, and Open Days.

Requirements
  • Hold a minimum CACDP/Signature Level 3 or equivalent in BSL with a commitment to progressing your skills to a higher level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
