Job Summary:Mitchell Maguire is seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Pitched Roofing Systems to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pitched roofing estimating and quantity surveying, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate and quote for pitched roofing projects, ensuring accurate and detailed quotations are provided to clients
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and recommend values to clients
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
- Attend pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients as required, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns
- Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities
- Must have either pitched roofing estimating or roofing quantity surveying experience, with a strong understanding of commercial roofing systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and contractors
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license and IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Confident and articulate, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
