Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Reception and Engagement Officer. As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, engaging with the public, and promoting our services to the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm and welcoming service to customers and learners at our front desk
• Carry out administrative duties, including completing enrolment forms and processing payments
• Work with local groups, organizations, and partners to identify and recruit new customers to our services
• Organize and attend events to promote our services and engage with the community
• Lead and coordinate events, workshops, and activities to increase opportunities for customer engagement and service uptake
• Proactively promote and market our services to ensure people are aware of what we offer and how to access it
• Carry out the full sign-up process, including eligibility checks, payments, and enrollments
• Provide a clear overview of support needs and ensure a smooth transition to our wider teams
• Ensure the hub is a welcoming and safe space for everyone
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide support when needed

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• General awareness of health and safety and building management
• Ability to engage with people in a variety of settings
• Experience of organizing events and knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
• Ability to work as a team, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of the barriers faced by people and the solutions that may benefit them
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Good IT skills and attention to detail
• Positive, energized, and enthusiastic approach to customer service
