Imperial College London is a world-leading institution that seeks to appoint a Next-Generation Optoelectronics Specialist to lead the development of new spectroscopic methods.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrafast spectroscopy and experience in multidimensional spectroscopy, vibrational spectroscopy, or microscopy.

In addition to leading the development of new spectroscopic methods, you will supervise graduate and undergraduate students, build and maintain external collaborations, and advance related spectroscopic research projects.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, including a sector-leading remuneration package with 39 days off a year and generous pension schemes. You will also gain access to Imperial's state-of-the-art laser and device fabrication facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel spectroscopic techniques that integrate ultrafast vibrational and electronic spectroscopy.
  • Lead the development of new spectroscopic methods, combining electron-vibrational spectroscopy with innovative concepts from multidimensional spectroscopy, microscopy, and scanning tunneling probe techniques.
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate students, build and maintain external collaborations, and advance related spectroscopic research projects.
