Job DescriptionWe're looking for a skilled Renewable Energy Connections Specialist to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the renewables sector and learn about the whole gas industry, including aspects of government regulation, project financing requirements, technical requirements, and safety compliance.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing a team to ensure biomethane and gas entry connections are processed and delivered to customer timescales, while ensuring all applicable safety, legislation, and SG policies are adhered to.
- Ensuring SGN delivers on government net-zero targets and SGN's ambition to green the gas in our networks.
- Project managing and delivering/generating gas entry connections, which are primarily concentrated in the biomethane sector, from initial customer contact through to final gas to grid.
- Liaising with project operators post commissioning to ensure full compliance with SGN's range of policies and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Effective people management skills with a focus on delivering projects to required timescales.
- A positive and flexible approach to work, with good organisational, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels.
- A good level of technical knowledge on the operation of the gas network, preferably with a degree qualification in an appropriate discipline.
- Knowledge/experience of Industry Codes, Regulations, and Legislation is preferred.
- Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and project management associated skills.
- A full UK driving licence is required for travel purposes.
The estimated salary for this position is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive pension scheme, life assurance, and excellent holiday entitlement.
