Opportunity to Train as a Therapeutic Radiographer

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our Therapeutic Radiographer team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Radiography Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner and participate in all shifts in the department. You will also attend mandatory training and updates, according to Trust policy, and be required to attend training sessions at the associated Higher Education Institution.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a rewarding and challenging field, with the potential to progress to a Band 4 role after successful completion of the second year of the course.

About the Role
  • Work within the Radiotherapy department under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
  • Participate in all shifts in the department.
  • Attend mandatory training and updates, according to Trust policy.
  • Attend training sessions at the associated Higher Education Institution.
Requirements
  • Experience of working within a Radiotherapy Department.
  • Understanding of the Radiotherapy Management system.
  • Knowledge of accountability, relevant SOPs, policies, and the importance of patient documentation.
