Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Trainee Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing gas emergency, mains replacement, and new connections activities, participating as an effective member of an incident management team, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of gas distribution assets, and supporting the team in the efficient delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities.

You will oversee assigned work programmes from initiation through to programme closure, ensure required controls are in place to make sure the team works safely, deal with hazards and risks identified by others, and deliver an efficient plan to remedy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of managing people; this could come from a wide range of industries such as retail and other customer-focused areas.
  • The ability to inspire and get the best out of their team.
  • Cost-conscious, able to work within allocated resources.
  • Able to think on your feet whilst always being safety aware.
  • Self-motivated, with good attention to detail and a proactive work ethic, and excellent numerical and analytical skills to be able to problem solve.
  • Interested in developing your career within the gas network industry.
  • Able to commit to 2 years of training and development.
  • A full and valid driving licence is essential.
