Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Paint Chemist to join our research and development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for improving, testing, and troubleshooting products, sourcing and testing raw materials, and developing new formulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute pilot plant and scale-up of products from laboratory trials to production facility.
  • Develop new formulations and produce samples.
  • Assist in the routine operation of the R&D Laboratory.
  • Analyse and evaluate raw materials and competitor products.
  • Investigate and formulate improvements of products and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop an understanding of research and communicate results to the Technical Director.
  • Become familiar with and actively support the Quality System.

Requirements: Previous experience as a Paint Chemist, ideally working with decorative paints. Colour matching and Quality Control of colour collateral would be an advantage.
