About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks for customers, adhering to food hygiene standards and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with customers, families, advocates, and staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high standard of service.
  • Undertake general duties as assigned, including maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers' flats.
  • Identify and report potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain stock levels, restock as required, and ensure equipment is used in line with guidance notes.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment.
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willingness to work towards.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
