About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nurse Clinical Specialist to join our team on the Isle of Wight. As a pivotal member of the Integrated Community Nursing Service, you will be responsible for delivering and leading specialist clinical care for patients on the District Nursing caseload.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team to deliver care in the home and community.
  • Develop new and innovative clinical practices, responding to emerging knowledge and techniques.
  • Work in an integrated and partnership way with other services to improve the health and care of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Ensure clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Act with autonomy and authority, making decisions within an agreed professional and managerial structure.

Requirements

  • Registered with current NMC Registration.
  • Hold a recognised Educational/Supervisory qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Specialist Practice Degree (SPQ) in District Nursing or equivalent Advanced Clinical Practice qualification.
  • Educated to a minimum of honours degree Level and be willing to progress to Masters Level.
