This role is responsible for supporting the Global Operations Transition Manager in delivering the Operations Optimisation programme, specifically the migration of 20+ entities from legacy Operations systems to our global ERP system, D365, representing the areas of Manufacturing Engineering management.
As a key member of the Operations team, you will provide functional leadership to Factory manufacturing engineers and technical leadership and consultation to resources at both peer and junior levels.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough Rotork Business System Audits to ensure readiness for system implementation.
- Develop and execute a programme to remove gaps in the current system, ensuring seamless integration with D365.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the D365 Implementation Programme and facilitate communication between the programme and the Operations Function for the Manufacturing Engineering functional area.
- Coordinate and provide relevant SME/functional resources to support the delivery of the D365/Target Operating Model transformation programme.
- Prepare engaging content for change management workshops, guiding users through key areas of change and facilitating high-level discussions on potential changes between the current and future states.
- Collaborate with the Operations Transition Manager to assess the feasibility of adopting global processes and determine the best approach for managing differences through configuration or Change Management.
- Work with the Operations Team and IT to translate Operations needs into system configuration requirements, ensuring effective localisation where necessary.
- Proven manufacturing engineering leadership experience for a business manufacturing configured engineered products.
- Deep understanding of processes within Manufacturing and between Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement tools and techniques, with demonstrated application in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with engineering packages such as Solid Edge and LabVIEW.
- Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application within manufacturing.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience in introducing a new ERP system into a manufacturing operation.
- Knowledge of quality control, statistics, and capability study, 6 sigma.
- Experience with MRP (Material requirements planning).
