Are you a Psychiatric Speciality Doctor looking for a challenging role in a state-of-the-art hospital in South Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity for a key role in the development of a service specialising in the support of females with acute mental health care needs.

About the Hospital

Our hospital is a fully refurbished facility located in a beautiful location, just 4 miles south of the city centre. It offers excellent access to transport networks and has a person-centred approach to care. The hospital has invested heavily in state-of-the-art technology to spearhead a new approach to psychotherapies, including coffee shops, a gym, and virtual consultation rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview, assess, and treat patients
  • Write clear and comprehensive medical notes
  • Attend Ward Reviews and CPA meetings to ensure clear communication throughout the care pathway
  • Contribute to the development of a service specialising in the support of females with acute mental health care needs
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration
  • Relevant experience within psychiatric hospitals
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice along with Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
Competitive Package
  • Up to £85k depending on experience
  • Training and Development with mentorship directly from the CMO
