Digital Systems Architect

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Vehicle Optronics and Sensors Group, you will be responsible for defining and recommending candidate architectures for vehicle systems.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering mission system programmes and will be able to make trade-offs between stakeholder expectations, technical and technological solutions, costs, risks, and schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying a systems thinking approach to architecture design for the lifecycle of the product.
- Deriving and modelling the solution architecture using ARCADIA Architectural Framework.
- Identifying methods to test and validate the architecture.
- Detailing the design and documenting design decisions and rationale.
Requirements include:
- Experience in product design in an engineering or research environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience producing documentation with clarity and precision.
- IBM DOORS or an equivalent requirements management tool.
- Enterprise Architect / Capella / Rhapsody or similar MBSE tool.
