The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Group Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to management
- Preparing payment runs and maintaining strong financial controls
- Collaborating with various departments and third parties to ensure accurate transactions
- Performing cash management and bank reconciliations
- Conducting month-end coding on Pegasus software
- Processing intercompany invoices and distributing them between global offices
- Managing head office ledgers and dealing with invoice and accounting queries
- Setting up and maintaining accurate third-party accounts
- Reconciling third-party statements and resolving discrepancies
- Monitoring and recording Board-level expenses for annual reporting
- Managing the Group finance mailbox and executing fortnightly payment runs
- Creditors ledgers reconciliations and finance archiving
- Cashbook updating and reconciliations on Pegasus software
- Nominal reconciliations and onboarding new suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assisting in audits and process improvements
Requirements
We are looking for a self-starter with excellent planning and organisation skills, strong teamwork and collaboration skills, and excellent prioritisation and time management abilities. The ideal candidate will also have:
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot discrepancies
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable communicating in any medium and to any size audience
- Experience of responding to queries and simple problem-solving
- Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
In-depth knowledge of accounting systems and best practices, as well as experience in a hands-on industry/commercial role, would be an advantage.
