We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Personal Education Plan Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in Leeds.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-quality Personal Education Plans (PEPs) that meet the needs of children and young people in care.
- Work closely with social workers, foster carers, designated teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure that PEPs are effective in promoting educational attainment and achievement.
- Conduct thorough assessments of children's learning needs and develop plans to address any gaps or barriers to progress.
- Provide training and support to schools and services to ensure that they are equipped to meet the needs of children and young people in care.
- Collaborate with the Virtual School and other agencies to ensure that the needs of children and young people in care are met.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent experience in education and care.
- Proven experience of working with children and young people in care, including those with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.
- Knowledge of the SEND code of practice and the graduated response.
- Experience of working with data and information to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
