About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Development Chef to join our team at Citywide Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs to teach school children, parents, and carers about nutrition, healthy eating, and basic cookery skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in the catering industry, with experience in training individuals of varying levels of ability and supervising staff. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential, as well as a good understanding of the School Food Standards and Food Safety Legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for school children, parents, and carers on nutrition, healthy eating, and basic cookery skills.
  • Work with our team to research and create new, innovative, and marketable food products for use across the Citywide school meals service.
  • Liaise with suppliers, conduct testing, and train Citywide staff on new products and services.
  • Deliver training and workshops across various sites, working with staff, children, headteachers, parents, and community members.
