Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to join our team at Cubley Court, an 18-bedded unit based in Derby for older women with diagnosed dementia. The postholder will support patients with their physical and mental health needs in an inpatient setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • To perform blood tests, basic observations, administer medication, carry out bladder scans, ECGs, and other tasks as required.
  • Ability to assess capacity to consent and take appropriate action where required.
  • Maintain high levels of infection control.

About the Role

The postholder will be part of a friendly team of nurses, medics, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physios. The successful candidate will also have opportunities for professional development and growth within the trust.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
  • Experience of working (either paid or voluntary) on a one-to-one basis with health & social care service receivers
  • Evidence of team working
  • Liaising with a range of health & social care services

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working with adults/older adults with mental health needs
  • Physical health assessment, monitoring, and interventions
  • Health Promotion Initiatives
