We are currently recruiting an Automation Equipment Maintenance Professional to join our team at the Midlands Parcel Super Hub. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the biggest technical changes in Royal Mail's history, as we transition from a letter-led to a parcel-led company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through completion of effective maintenance procedures. This includes performing maintenance tasks, such as preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, as well as providing effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leads.

As an experienced multi-skilled engineer, you'll be qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 – or equivalent) and have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, ideally Programme Logic Controllers (PLC). You'll also have a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.

This role offers a competitive salary of £51,051 per annum, night shift allowance of £2,500 per annum, a defined contribution pension scheme, with 22.5 days (15 shifts) annual leave plus bank holidays and free parking. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance may also be available.
