About the Role

The Senior Director of Portfolio and Programs is a senior thought leader in the Advanced Staining Reagents (ASR) and Pharma Partnerships team, supporting the building of the three-to-five-year strategic plan, defining priorities, assessing critical decisions, and mapping portfolio expansion opportunities. This role will also involve leading and supporting clinical Artificial Intelligence (AI) and clinical technology strategy, including computational pathology and spatial technologies.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the diagnostics industry or similar field, with a strong track record of influencing strategic decisions and driving value-building outcomes. They will also have experience leading teams and developing business strategies, with a focus on growth, commercial activities, and delivering against strategic priorities.

This position requires excellent analytical skills, with the ability to distill various data inputs into succinct, proprietary insights that enable decision-making. The successful candidate will also have experience connecting technical and commercial domains to identify sources of value and convincing senior decision makers of market attractiveness and trade-off decisions.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional leaders to develop additive and complementary strategies for the ASR business unit products and influence commercial strategy. You will also engage with leading healthcare institutions, biopharmaceuticals, existing scientific forums, partners, and experts to assess emerging innovations and joint development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop conviction on clinical portfolio priorities by assessing disease epidemiology, diagnostics innovation runway, biopharma pipeline direction, regulatory and reimbursement trends, and competitive considerations.
  • Assess new business/revenue growth opportunities, lead and drive product management decisions, commercial growth and expansion globally, including market/competitor research, analyzing trends, evaluating go-to-market options, developing business cases to inform management decisions.
  • Partner with peers, partners, and cross-functional leaders to develop additive and complementary strategies for the ASR business unit products and influence commercial strategy.
  • Engage with leading healthcare institutions, biopharmaceuticals, existing scientific forums, partners, and experts to assess emerging innovations and joint development opportunities.
