Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join our Asset Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our estate, negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews, and optimizing rental income opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day estate matters, including freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial properties
  • Negotiate lease renewals and rent reviews with landlords and their agents to achieve the best possible return
  • Optimize rental income opportunities generated by Tarmac's land portfolio
  • Budget, forecast, and approve property-related costs, including rents and maintenance costs
  • Instruct and manage external consultants and agents

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge and experience of industrial and commercial property ownership and occupation in the UK, including landlord and tenant legislation
  • Industrial and commercial property market agency in the UK
  • Negotiation of rent reviews, lease renewals, and general estate management matters
  • Mineral and energy-related property experience is of interest, but not essential
  • Achieved or working towards MRICS
