Job Purpose

The Prax Upstream Environmental Sustainability Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company's environmental objectives are met throughout the exploration, appraisal, development, operations, and decommissioning activities, both onshore and offshore. This role will also ensure compliance with Prax Upstream's internal policies and procedures, including maintaining existing and future accreditations such as ISO 14001 & 45001.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with environmental statutory provisions throughout the full life cycle of Prax's onshore and offshore operations.
  • Verify ownership for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading schemes.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, including PETS Applications (Master Application Templates) for drilling, pipeline operations, wells, production operations, decommissioning, and standalone activities.
  • Administer the EEMS database, set OSPAR EEMS requirements, prepare OPEPS, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Statements (ES), ES Addenda, PPC submissions, and related environmental assessments.
  • Propose and monitor annual environmental targets and objectives, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental returns, and OSPAR public statements.
  • Manage approved permits and consents, PON 1; PON2 reporting, OCR Non-compliance Notifications, OPPC Non-compliance Notifications, Chemical tracker, Production, Vent, and Flare consents, and management of other discharge consents.
  • Record environmental training, exercises, and drills, and submit annual returns to relevant authorities.
  • Oversee waste management and conduct audits.
  • Liaise with other West of Shetland Operators to exchange environmental information and lessons learned.
  • Participate in UK O&G Enviro Forums and lead environmental survey responses and consultations.
  • Conduct audits, including offshore audits and monitoring, and participate in the audit team.
  • Manage the ES commitment list and interface with relevant authorities.
  • Participate in emergency response management and ensure compliance with HSSE&Q corporate policies and applicable legislation.
  • Establish, review, and revise environmental policies and plans as necessary.
  • Demonstrate proactive environmental leadership and ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner, complying with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Technical degree or equivalent with relevant application to the oil and gas industry.
  • Chartered Member of a professional environmental body.
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
