We are seeking a passionate and experienced teaching assistant with a background in special educational needs to join our team at an alternative provision based in Mansfield.
Your duties will include working alongside the classroom teacher to promote a holistic approach that is stimulating for children with SEN needs, including ASD and ADHD. You will also set individual targets and monitor them closely to help design appropriate learning material, plan and deliver interventions for students accessing additional SEND support, and ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
The right candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, be able to form effective relationships with staff and pupils, have strong and clear communication and verbal skills, and a responsive and caring approach to all pupils.
