Job Description

Overview: As a Classroom Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff and pupils across the primary phase. You will be responsible for providing assistance with lesson planning, classroom management, and pupil support.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary package that includes local government pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Assist with classroom management, including supervising pupils during lessons and breaks
  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils, focusing on their academic and personal needs
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to improve pupil outcomes

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a school environment, preferably in a primary phase setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Degree-level qualifications in Education or a related field (desirable)
