Job Description

Fugro's Marine Asset Integrity Business is seeking a highly skilled Asset Engineer / Senior Asset Engineer to support our team in the offshore energy markets. As a key member of our Technical and Project Teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the readiness of our ROV fleet during planning, mobilizations, and offshore operations.

You will be responsible for supporting the company through an exciting period of growth, expanding our offering with new technologies. Your expertise in ROV systems, both technically and operationally, will be essential in maintaining high standards, safety, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review ROV system readiness and current status in conjunction with Project Managers and Technical Manager.
  • Support planned and ongoing live operations in conjunction with Project teams.
  • Liaise closely with the Engineering department regarding engineering support required.
  • Ensure that Commercial teams are given advice regarding asset capabilities in support of tender and proposal development.
  • Review maintenance records for assets, track equipment failures, noting any trends to identify problem areas for further investigation and improvement.
  • Monitor and control the asset R&M budgets, along with CAPEX applications for investment.
  • Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams as well as liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Liaise with innovation teams in terms of system improvements and new solutions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the offshore ROV industry.
  • Strong experience of hydraulics, mechanics, electronics (incl. high voltage).
  • Educated to HNC/HND Level or equivalent completed apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
  • High attention to detail with analytic and problem-solving skills.
