Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

A new opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join our client, a leading food manufacturer based in North London.

Job Role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all supply chain and warehouse activities across the business, forming close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will lead the transformation of the supply chain and warehouse operation in line with or ahead of the demands of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Control all stocks (raw materials, finished goods, and factored goods) at site through effective management of the coldstores and stocks within, including stock held at 3PL.
  • Supply Planning: Plan effectively to ensure a constant supply of raw materials, finished manufactured goods, and factored goods through a self-produced and published stock report to meet the requirements of the sales and production plan for the business.
  • Warehouse Operations: Manage the 24-hour warehouse operation, including picking, loading, replenishment, stock rotation, goods in, and collections.
  • Error Investigation: Investigate errors and stock discrepancies and implement changes to improve overall efficiencies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Control and maintain all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and PPE.
  • Procurement: Order raw materials and factored goods to ensure on-time delivery and meet the production plan and sales plan.
  • Price Variance Management: Monitor and report on the effects of price variances on the business for all raw materials sourced and report on all usage variances.
  • Inventory Management: Manage all the raw materials and factored goods required by the company to meet the production and sales plans.
  • 3PL Management: Manage the efficiency and costs of import of goods using 3PL, including storage and transport, aiming to reduce errors and maintain stock integrity.
  • System Management: Set up, manage, and own the stock control system, production planning system, and all associated reporting systems.
  • Stock Integrity: Ensure regular stock checks to maintain stock integrity and investigate discrepancies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety is a priority at all times.
Personal Profile
  • Management Experience: Must have previous management experience in Supply Chain and Warehouse.
  • People Management: Must have experience managing people.
  • Multi-Temp FMCG Operations: Must have experience in multi-temp FMCG operations.
  • 3PL Experience: Must have experience managing 3rd party storage, couriers, and hauliers.
  • Technical Skills: PC literate with good Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Communication Skills: Good communicator through face-to-face, email, and phone.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and systematic.
  • ERP Experience: Experienced working with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Accuracy and Pragmatism: Accurate and pragmatic.
