Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

Join Manpower UK Ltd as a Manufacturing Engineer and contribute to the success of our automotive manufacturing team. As a key member of our shop floor team, you will be responsible for managing product launches and supplier coordination to meet cost and timing targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement timing plans, PFMEAs, and control documents to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Source, commission, and oversee new manufacturing equipment installations to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and support quality resolutions to maintain high-quality products.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and support Continuous Improvement (CI) to enhance our manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
  • Familiarity with headliner manufacturing and assembly.
  • Proven track record in roles within just-in-time environments.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing processes.
  • IT literacy, particularly with MS Project.
  • CAD experience is advantageous.
