We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment within a spectrum of mental health presentations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Undertake CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 to inform formulation, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with members of the team and partnership agencies, including Social Services, Education, and others.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based clinical interventions for children and young people and be supported to train in other treatment modalities.
- Develop and maintain a caseload, offering evidence-based interventions to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs and their families.
- Successful completion of a graduate training (nursing, social work, occupational therapy) or equivalent substantial CAMHS clinical experience.
- Further professional knowledge gained through accredited courses, workshops, study, and in-house training programs (CYP-IAPT training).
- Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, NMC) where appropriate.
- Experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
- Experience of working with children and adolescents with comorbid difficulties and special needs.
