Job Title: Personal Education Plan Coordinator

We are working closely with a Local Authority in West Sussex to assist with the appointment of a Personal Education Plan (PEP) Coordinator, on a 5-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will champion the educational rights of all children looked after by West Sussex, improving their school experience and academic outcomes. They will work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other professional colleagues to ensure regular and meaningful PEP meetings focused on raising academic achievement and attainment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion the educational rights of all children looked after by West Sussex.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, and other professional colleagues.
  • Facilitate small group training and provide telephone support for social workers and designated teachers using the ePEP system.
  • Ensure the PEP database is up-to-date and accurate, adding and deleting users as required.
  • Coordinate and support the Virtual School team in providing robust quality assurance of PEPs.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Experience of working within or alongside colleagues in education or children's social care.
  • Valid driving license and a willingness to drive between West Sussex centres.
Important Notes:
  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
