Adult Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in providing specialist psychological services to older adults with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Psychologist in this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, formulation, and intervention to individuals with complex physical health problems, psychological disorders, and behavioral difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop effective intervention plans for older adults with complex mental health needs.
- Provide highly specialist psychological services to individuals with complex physical health problems, psychological disorders, and behavioral difficulties.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care and support to older adults and their families.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, including individual and group interventions, to promote the mental health and well-being of older adults.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the provision of psychology and psychological therapy services in later life services.
- Provide supervision and training to other staff members on psychological aspects of mental health, including appropriate treatment approaches and complex issues of engaging people with memory difficulties.
- Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience of working with older adults with complex mental health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management skills.
- Knowledge of later life mental health services, including the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
