Job Title: Ledger Controller

As a Ledger Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the general ledger and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position involves preparing financial reports, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met while complying with accounting standards, internal policies, and SOX controls.
  3. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and regular reviews are performed.
  4. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  5. Closing Activities: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  6. ARCS Reconciliations: Perform monthly ARCS reconciliations.
  7. VAT Returns: Review and approve monthly VAT returns.
  8. Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for closing activities.
  9. Internal and External Audits: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  10. Process Evaluation: Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
  11. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
  12. Business Engagement: Engage with the business and actively participate in operational or commercial initiatives as appropriate.
