Job Title: Social Worker - Family Support & Protection Team

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Family Support and Protection Team in Monmouthshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and planning for children, young people, and their families who require social care involvement to ensure their health and well-being and protection from neglect and abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and progress plans to evidence improvement in the welfare of children and young people
  • Prepare written evidence and progress cases to legal proceedings
  • Manage a caseload of high-level statutory intervention cases, including Child Protection, Private and Public law cases
  • Responsible for adoption orders where required
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • Relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
