Job Overview

The role of Senior Custody Product Manager at HSBC is a critical position that requires expertise in custody and securities services. As a key member of the Securities Services team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of HSBC's custody product management functions.

This includes providing expert knowledge to enhance and maintain HSBC Securities Services, leading the ongoing development of the Custody product management functions in line with agreed strategic objectives, and driving and managing the products to contribute to the improvement of the overall profitability of Securities Services.

With a strong focus on client satisfaction, digitization, scalability, and innovation, you will play a crucial role in growing and maintaining the overall assets under custody of HSBC Securities Services.

Your expertise in global market infrastructure, strategic thinking, and leadership qualities will enable you to make a significant impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Custody product management functions in line with agreed strategic objectives.
  • Be the Custody Product knowledge expert globally internally and externally.
  • Drive and manage the products with the objective to contribute to the improvement of the overall profitability of Securities Services, to enhance the client experience.
  • Manage the custody side of any Client Improvement Plans.
  • Grow and maintain the overall assets under custody of HSBC Securities Services, while promoting client satisfaction, digitization, scalability, and innovation.
  • Take a pro-active approach in developing a comprehensive understanding of the development of the global securities services market.
  • Represent HSBC externally and internally with authority in matters relating to Custody.
Requirements
  • Experience in custody and securities services.
  • Experience in product management, development, and risk management.
  • Proven track record in driving innovation and demonstrating thought leadership.
  • Knowledge of global market infrastructure.
  • Strategic and creative thinker.
  • Result-oriented, able to drive 'think client' and 'think P&L' approach within defined risk parameters.
  • Able to manage a complex and multi-disciplinary global environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities of decision making, authority, and people motivator.
  • Good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
