Building Senior Surveyor

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor to progress and work collaboratively within a vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing client relationships and a specific interest in project management.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction, on an expanding portfolio of challenging projects across various market sectors.
- Identify and agree project objectives with the Project Director and develop a strategy for achieving these.
- Manage potential contractual and commercial risks to the Project Director at the earliest opportunity.
- Utilize commercial manager support to understand contractual obligations and negotiate amendments.
- Set objectives, define tasks for the project team, delegate authority, and agree on risk sharing as necessary.
- Actively manage the project technically and financially, in accordance with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance, and procedures.
- Lead the project team, building, motivating, maintaining, coaching, guiding, and developing the team, including providing regular feedback and ensuring staff have necessary H&S training.
- Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans, providing project reports on a regular basis to convey cost and schedule information.
- Closing out the project on completion, archiving project documentation, updating market information, ensuring lessons learnt are captured and disseminated internally, and initiating a Client Satisfaction survey.
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent with demonstrable experience managing design commissions on large building/infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team, demonstrating good leadership qualities.
- Understanding and experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, particularly NEC3 and JCT.
- Experience in preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs, and Client & Stakeholder Management plans.
- Experience in managing design projects to time, cost, and quality objectives, familiar with programming and earned value techniques.
- Familiarity with BIM and understanding of 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes.
- Valid UK driving licence.
