We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic reviews.
  • Supervise the process of referral and admission, including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members.
  • Offer a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation, and treatment of young people.
  • Contribute to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital.
  • Maintain CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity.
  • A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes.
  • Committed to continued professional development.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
