Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Inverter Lead Engineer to join our team at EVera Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of high-voltage power electronics components for our luxury British car manufacturer client.

The Inverter Lead Engineer will:

  • Define and own the design and integration of inverters into vehicle systems from concept through to production.
  • Support all virtual verification activities, including packaging, 1D and 3D analyses, to ensure the quality and reliability of the inverter components.
  • Develop and manage change tracking documents, engineering release notices, and releases to facilitate engineering changes and approvals.
  • Define and manage commodity plans for each programme, including design and manufacturing lead times, and key programme deliverables timing.
  • Support thermal modeling of inverters and eMotors to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate system and supplier comparison studies and evaluate RFQ responses to inform management decisions.

The Inverter Lead Engineer will have:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or related field.
  • Deep technical knowledge of inverter hardware and software, including inverter hardware design, control methodologies, and future technology developments.
  • Experience in high-voltage switching components, such as MOSFETs and IGBTs.
  • Strong user of MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Deep technical knowledge of eMotors, motor control theory, and automotive HV power electronics hardware and software.
  • Strong teamwork skills, self-motivated, and eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
