Job Title: Lead Commissioning Manager

Sygna is seeking an experienced Lead Commissioning Manager to join our team in London, UK. As a key member of our Major Projects Division, you will be responsible for the execution of Commissioning Management on one or more projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operations and finances of projects under your control, ensuring timely completion and compliance with client expectations.
  • Maintain a good relationship with key stakeholders, promoting Sygna and identifying new opportunities.
  • Develop and implement excellent practices and procedures for the operation of the business.
  • Assist the Divisional Director with bidding for new opportunities, providing technical and schedule input to the bid document and presenting in post-tender interviews.
  • Provide regular project progress reports to the Senior Management Team, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and project milestones.
Project-Related Information:
  • Update the 'Delivery Tracker' regularly, providing fortnightly/monthly updates to the Divisional Director.
  • Ensure project scope, fee, and deliverables are understood and followed.
  • Attend and chair meetings with clients, sub-contractors, and other team members as required.
  • Lead the successful delivery of the commissioning plan, ensuring all parties are coordinated and informed.
  • Compile and issue weekly progress reports to clients, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Advise on commissioning-related items, including programming and testing.
  • Assist the Divisional Director in recruitment and talent development within the sector.
  • Ensure compliance with Sygna's Health and Safety standards on all projects.
  • Forecast labour requirements and inform the director of any changes needed.
  • Lead the Cx Review of design information related to projects under your control.
Financial:
  • Assist the Divisional Director in achieving forward order booking, ensuring a sustainable business.
  • Be aware of the minimum gross margin on all projects, agreed with the Divisional Director on a project-by-project basis.
  • Continuously maximize opportunities and minimize risks on all projects, influencing project margin.
  • Ensure proper order placement of subcontractors, following company procedures and best practice.
  • Maintain relationships with external consultants and clients for future win-work opportunities.
  • Highlight any risks before they occur, informing the Divisional Director.
