Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Lead to join our Commissioning team at Hinkley Point C, one of the most exciting and challenging projects in the UK. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, permits, licenses, and consents.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site inspections of Commissioning work areas and reporting any environmental issues that may arise;
- Providing written and verbal advice on environment legislation, permits, and environmental planning constraints for all activities on site;
- Collaborating with Site and Bristol-based environment teams to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and demonstrate substantiation of environmental protection equipment;
- Gathering and collating environmental performance information on Commissioning's activities;
- Reviewing and implementing the Commissioning Environmental Management Plan to ensure it aligns with environmental regulations and NNB standards;
- Supporting the delivery of environmental training to Commissioning technicians and engineers;

Here's What You'll Need:
- Experience in an Environmental Management role on a dynamic construction, commissioning, or industrial project (site-based);
- Detailed knowledge of environmental legislation in the UK relevant to construction or industrial installations, plus knowledge of supporting guidance, reference notes, industry best practice;
- Able to work independently and demonstrate excellent communication/interpersonal and influencing skills;
- Degree qualified or equivalent in an environmental or engineering/science-related discipline; and
- Previous experience of operating within an environmental management system (EMS) conforming to recognized standards (BS EN ISO 14001:2015).
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
