Salary


The salary for this role is £40,000 per annum, plus additional pay in line with our performance philosophy and recognition culture. We also offer a double matching Company pension scheme (up to 10% company contribution).



Nuclear Safety Engineer Job Description


Do you enjoy working in safety critical industries? Do you like delivering solutions to technically complex problems? You will play a vital role in assessing the risks for our nuclear clients to help them realise their low carbon energy ambitions, shaping a better future for our planet and its people.



Your Responsibilities:



  • Producing hazards assessments or authoring complex safety cases justifying and supporting critical decision-making in the design, operation, and/or decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
  • Influencing client strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site licence for innovative designs, networking to develop business pipelines within your capability or doing technical presentations to regulators.
  • Supporting technical delivery of projects, addressing technically complex problems, and presenting solutions to different stakeholders.
  • Contributing to and learning from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, taking advantage of global expertise to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Mentoring junior engineers to further support growth and improve project delivery capabilities while strengthening leadership skills.
