Caring Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Aldershot. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and sight loss. Your role will involve helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks. You will also be expected to build strong relationships with the people you support, understand their needs, and help them live life on their own terms.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position working 20 hours per week, 2 nights per week (Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday). You will be required to work from 9:30 pm to 7:30 am. A valid full UK manual driving license is preferable but not essential. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and sight loss.
- Help with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
- Build strong relationships with the people you support and understand their needs.
- Assist with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encourage creative exploration.
- Social engagement: Support activities like holiday's, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone could enjoy what they love doing.

Salary
The salary for this role is £12.00 per hour plus benefits. Additionally, you will receive £50 per sleep-in shift. The estimated annual salary is £24,960.80.
