Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Care Professional to join our community support team, providing personalized care and support to adults with learning difficulties and mental health needs.

About the Role

As a Care Professional, you will play a vital role in implementing individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting confidentiality
  • Supporting service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and social events
  • Maintaining accurate notes and records as required
  • Working collaboratively with a team to provide high-quality care and support

You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care support, including bathing, showering, toileting
  • Supporting individuals with community-based activities, such as swimming, bowling, Zumba, gym, shopping, cycling, and cinema outings

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards one
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Confidence in working independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for working with vulnerable adults
  • The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (preferred)
