The Role: As Senior Electronics Design Engineer - Power Supply Specialist, you will play a vital role in the design, testing, and deployment of mission-critical systems, with a focus on power supply design and development projects.

You will be responsible for leading new product development and guiding design processes, from concept through to final testing, ensuring high-performance solutions that meet strict regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design of new power supply distribution systems, interacting with customers to understand requirements, present solutions, and manage project expectations.
  2. Optimise designs for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting power and performance requirements.
  3. Support Engineers in tasks including power supply design, schematic capture, PCB layout, control board design, BOM component selection, and lab-based work.
  4. Drive R&D initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and integration of the latest advancements in technology.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in power electronics design, with a focus on power supply design and control, including switch-mode power supplies (SMPS).
  3. Demonstrated experience with power distribution systems and AC/DC drive design for high-demand environments.
  4. Familiarity with aerospace or defence regulatory standards, such as DO-160 or MIL-STD-810.
  5. Proficient in circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, LTspice) and design software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
  6. Strong communication skills for direct customer engagement and relationship management.
  7. Previous experience within the aerospace, defence, or related high-reliability industry.
