Job OverviewWe're seeking a Marine Civil / Geotechnical / Structural Engineer to join our Ports and Harbours team in our Design Service Line. The selected candidate will be employed through Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) legal entity and will work from our Belfast office.
Key Responsibilities- Leading projects and working on analysis and design activities
- Supervising graduate engineers and technicians
- Carrying out or reviewing structural designs, specifications, and reinforced concrete detailing packages
- Inspection work on site and occasional site visits
- Technical background in civil / structural engineering with 3+ years of relevant design experience
- Experience with marine civils structures, retaining wall design software, and structural software packages
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Highly organised and motivated individual with effective communication skills, a good work ethic, and a commitment to technical excellence, personal efficiency, and career progression through Continued Professional Development
