Job Overview:

As a Modern Workplace Engineer at Capgemini, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure and associated systems. This role requires a strong background in cloud-based solutions, SaaS applications, and best practices in security and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop solutions for Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure, ensuring alignment with technical policy and design requirements.
  • Implementation and Maintenance: Work with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain reliable platform services, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Support and Escalation: Provide technical support and escalation to 3rd line teams, ensuring all managed systems are supportable, available, recoverable, secure, and documented.
  • Supplier Management: Manage technical relationships with cloud engineering and infrastructure suppliers, introducing new features and innovative solutions to the estate.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with technical and support teams, colleagues, and suppliers to ensure solutions are documented, and best practices are followed.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in designing, building, managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, and SaaS applications.
  • Deep understanding of best practices and security practices in collaboration and unified communications.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Product Suite, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
