Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading food manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment
  • Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, problem solving, and repairs
  • Work on control panels, HMIs, PLCs, SCADA systems, and other electrical and mechanical systems
  • Manage stores, order spares and parts as needed, and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to achieve continuous improvement goals
Requirements
  • Must be an electrically biased engineer with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical engineering or maintenance minimum
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and control systems, HMIs beneficial
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematic drawings
  • Continuous improvement mentality and willingness to help in all areas of the team
