Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to work with our team in the UK. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand client needs, stakeholder requirements, and project opportunities and constraints.
  • Assist with data collection, including traffic counts, travel surveys, census data, and GIS mapping.
  • Undertake accessibility reviews and prepare reports to communicate findings.
  • Estimate trip generation, mode of travel, and distribution of trips across the transport network.
  • Use industry software to model junctions and assess traffic impact.
  • Prepare reports, including Access Appraisals, Travel Plans, Transport Assessments, and transport chapters for Environmental Statements.
  • Work with clients, architects, highway authorities, and develop positive working relationships.
  • Contribute to business development activities, such as LinkedIn use and networking events.
Requirements:
  • Personal responsibility for professional development.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality designs, reports, and drawings.
  • Proficiency with TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, and AUTOCAD.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum Sector: Transport Infrastructure, Civil & Structural Engineering Contract Type: Permanent Town/City: Yorkshire
